I've always had a passion for skincare, makeup and lashes. After high school, I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do with my life (like most 18-year-olds at the time). I attended SUNY Adirondack for a semester and realized college just wasn't for me. I worked for my parents for a while as a receptionist, but this soon grew old because I knew my heart was somewhere else...I just didn't know where. This is when I decided to enroll at Aesthetic Science Institute to pursue my love of the beauty industry. My time at ASI was nothing short of amazing, once completing my schooling I knew I wanted to work in the esthetics field. Nothing seemed to click for me when looking for jobs, so I went back to square one. In December of 2021, I was given the opportunity to start my own esthetics practice, this is when "Mattelyn Paige Aesthetics" was born. When creating "Mattelyn Paige Aesthetics" I knew I wanted an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Having a lot of anxiety and social fear myself, (before I go anywhere I google, where to park, where the front door is, and more, just to make myself feel comfortable.) So I wanted to create a space that I would feel comfortable going to...even if I wasn't the esthetician. A place where you feel comfortable showing up for your appointment in sweats and a hoodie or being dressed to the nines. Guaranteed no matter what you wear, how you feel, or what treatment you book, you will leave feeling like a movie star.
